Camp Liberty is a camp whose mission is to provide programs and activities for veterans returning from war and service. The camp specifically focuses on traumatic brain injuries and post-traumatic stress disorder. Veterans with these challenges find peace with other veterans out in nature. Camp Liberty helps them to re-acclimate back into their civilian lives.
Kellogg Family Foundation had the privilege of being one of the first donors to the camp. The bridge that was the entrance to the camp was dangerous and in desperate need of repair. Camp Liberty could not open unless the bridge was restructured to allow emergency vehicles to access the camp. Kellogg Family Foundation undertook the commitment and provided a grant to rebuild the bridge.
