Local Champions

“The guiding principle of our giving is local, local, local because that’s where we have the most effect.”

We seek out leaders with the passion to make things happen because a passion for a cause is more important than money, any day.

Local champions have a fully formed, ongoing project or an innovative idea with enthusiastic community support. Volunteers are ready to go, civic leaders are on board, and there’s a clear timeframe to get things done. They are driven to overcome obstacles and use our funding to generate other local support.

We do not accept grant applications. When we see a local champion doing great things, we sometimes reach out to see how we might help.
