“Our mock apartment helps students and young adults with autism work on daily living and social skills.”
Excel Employment Options works to eliminate barriers to employment and bridge the gap between disabled job seekers and employers. The foundation helps support the Independent Living Center in Howell, where counselors work with students to train, adapt, and find solutions to each person’s unique circumstances.
The center also works with students and young adults on the autism spectrum by providing a fun, functional learning environment. In the mock apartment funded by the foundation, students work on daily living and social skills with their peers.
