Operation Injured Soldiers: Brave Hearts Estate

A retreat for wounded veterans of all eras

“Testimonial”
— Jack Renwick

Operation Injured Soldiers, based in South Lyon, offers recreational and social activities to disabled veterans from all eras to thank them for their service and aid their recovery from injuries sustained during deployments.

The nonprofit’s 238-acre Brave Hearts Estate in Pellston, Mich., offers free lodging for veterans and their families. The estate includes an archery range, sporting clays, hiking and biking trails, fishing and boating, and more. A grant from the Kellogg Family Foundation added gazebos along the hiking and biking trails.
